It's all gone a bit Tron in our House

Yes there is some Tron mania in our house. Jarrod and I loved the movie especially the styling and interiors. Loved the sound track too. It has gone all Tron in our house my talented husband Jarrod need a night light so recycling a plastic bottle and some Led light given to us by a friend the Tron light appeared. I now want to make one for my side of the bed.
If you haven't seen the movie Tron Legacy yet. Even if your not into Sci Fi the customs, hair ,make up and interiors are quite inspirational.

Happy Australia Day

Happy Australia Day to all our Aussie friends. We will be celebrating in our house this year as we officially became Australians last year so it won't be the same being by the Sydney Opera house. We will have some London Aussies coming for a beer and a sausage at our place.

Just be silly

OK last Monday was officially gloomy day of the year. Phew glad that's over and done with. Rocket and I have great prescription for days like these just be silly. Do something funny. That is what I love about sharing my days with a two year old. They are totally oblivious to gloomy days. He drew some faces on our fingers with felt tip pen had we had some silly fun.

Rocket's Rain Coat

Here is a peak at a little sewing project I made before the big freeze here in the UK
Carrying on with my obsession with weather just now. Maybe it's the adjustment to living back in the northern hemisphere. My wee man was in desperate need of a rain coat. I started this sewing project in Sydney and when the boxes arrived in London I whipped out the pattern I had bought from Oliver and S and this lovely oil cloth fabric I had bought from Me too please.
Finished the coat just in time for Rockets first ever day in the snow. So we have swapped sand castles for snowmen but still having fun.

Happy 2011

Happy New Year. I wish everyone a Happy 2011. I have to admit 2010 was not one of my happiest years. I am glad I made it through . Just finished organizing my little workspace.
It has been four years since I had a fixed physical working space to be creative in. My little Vaio has been my virtual studio along with any available table space in the house. Lots of packing up and unpacking going on . It great to start the year of with a little creative hub to get working on some new Susse ideas. For the first time I feel centered and organised. Spooky. It is a great way to start the new year. Here's to a happy 2011and creative times.
