Fun Friday London and the Olympics

Hello here I am in London with so much crazy Olympic madness happening around me. I just wanted to share some photos of the past few weeks. The mood here is amazing. The hot sunny weather really helps people put themselves into a party mood. I know the Olympics is not everyones cup of tea.  Wether it it is or not. You really feel a sense of history in London just now. I appreciate this will be a once in a life time experience for me. Even last night we hopped onto our roof and watch the practice of the opening ceremony from a far. Watching a huge white blimp lit up like a  Christmas tree and the Orbital flashing away. It was exciting to see. In London if you say you are bored you have missed the boat. Every museum, embassy, park and even in the streets has something to do and see and most of it is free. So if your in London and not battling to work through a sea of walkers and cyclist come outside and see what you can find.

Here are a few photos so far  for my first Fun Friday.

From my desk this week

Hello from my desk this week. The sun has finally arrived in London hooray!! It is the school holidays now so things might be a bit sparse here at my blog for the next few weeks or so. Jarrod and I are tag teaming looking after Rocket so today is my day to get some work done. We have had a great few days already. But that's a different post coming up. Today was far to hot to be indoors so I packed my mobile studio in my Afro girl bag ( sample testing just now.) Hopped on the bus down to the Barbican there are some cool exhibitions on James bond design and the Bauhaus exhibition by I am saving them for later.

I sat by the lake under the shade latte in hand and brought out my note book and sketch book had a productive afternoon. It was great. Nice view from the studio today.

From my desk this week

Hello from my desk this week. I have been in a bit of a flux this week following last week's weirdness. With middle of the night trips to A & E with Rocket, interrupted sleep, mopping and washing, and the dishwasher delivery men flooding the kitchen and the water being shut off . MM that's right absolutely no water with a sick child.

Today I am getting back to zen. The school holidays are looming up. I want to be more efficient with my time next school year. Be prepared for those curve ball weeks. When someone get sick, something needs fixed in the house blah blah.. I have decided to get more on top of my planning this week.  I have started delving back into reading business books again. This is quite a new publication `blogging for creatives. Although I have been blogging for quite sometime. It has been a haphazard affair . I enjoy blogging I want to make it an interesting place for people to enjoy the world of Susse Collection.
I am finding some great tips here on Blogging for creatives by Robin Houghton. I am thinking of redesigning the blog too.

What do you do to get back on track?

Hi there nearly half way through July. I just had to make this illustration London Look.
This pretty much the look on the streets in London this summer. Wellies, raincoats, shorts and sunglasses. I am not going to moan about it though : ).
