Away from my desk this week- Summer in London

Week one nearly finished of the school holidays. We have had the most fantastic weather here in London which has made the school holidays very easy to pack a bag and dash out to the park and enjoy long lazy summer days. There is so much happening in the city too. I just wanted to share a bit of London in the summer. Last weekend we went to see the White cross street party. We had the best time. So here are some sunny festival pictures to enjoy. Have a great weekend.

Hello from a very hot hot desk in London town today. School holidays start tomorrow and thoughts of going on holiday are filling my head. We are having a stay cation in London.  We may zip out the city for a few days at some point especially if the hot weather continues.

I am working on my illustration portfolio and working on a revamp on my site just now. When I had an e-mail this week from Illustration Friday. I love this website just a bit fun to work on a theme created by someone each week. This week was travel. Which really fits in with my imagication illustrations I am working on just now.   I decided to submit my Let's go to Mexico a place I wold like to visit.

Any holiday plans yourself or are you going on an imagication holiday this summer.
Stay cool and have a great weekend.

From my desk this week - Yeah I did it

 Susse Ltd © 2013

Hello how was your week? I have had a Yeah I did it week. It has  been a busy week completing my assignment for the Lilla Rogers Global Talent Search Challenge. I bet it will be amazing all the imaginative ideas and images everyone has created around the world.
I really enjoyed the brief and it felt good to upload and send my entry and see the thank you message. For me just working to the brief and getting it completed on time has been a good feeling. Especially as the next week is crazy week with the end of term at Rocket's school. Sports day, parties and parents evening so it feels good to have next week clear.

The next challenge for me is revamping my website, getting my showroom finally up and running and finalising my portfolio . Working on new things for my poor neglected Susse store. Have a great weekend.

Hello from my desk this week. I have had  lots of fun and a full creative week this week. Hence lack of web presence this week. Just having to much fun working on the first brief of the Lilla Rogers Global Talent search. I can't really say to much at this point about the brief as it's a bit secret squirrel as one of my friends would say.
It involves my favourite things and  London stationery store. I have had such a creative rush this week and produced so many ideas I have had to say stop this afternoon and take a break. Come back to things with fresh eyes in a few days.
I have already taken away a few learning experiences scale, layout and getting that balance of interesting and simplicity. Once I hand in my  design I can tell you more about my experience.
I have certainly really enjoyed my self this week and worked hard and have so many new ideas for other things now. Have a wonderful weekend, Off for the school pick up and after school treat.

The upside down house

The upside down house in Dalston or Leandro Erich: Dalston House

Rockets drawing of the upside down house

Hello how has your week been. I have decided to blog on Friday again as my usual 3 post a week where starting take up a lot of my time.  I am getting busier with my design work now. I have had a busy week  just had to share this local event in my neighbourhood. My son calls it the upside down house and we went yesterday post school with his best friend to check it out and also enjoy the beautiful Curve garden drink tea and let the boys run around and play Lego monster fighter. It really makes me feel very grateful for living in our neighbourhood and the great things that happen in London. If your in the neighbourhood check it out and be spider man for the day. The upside down house was created by artist Leandro Erich of a Victorian house and a huge mirror creating a refection of people climbing up the wall of the house.
There was a huge queue when we went but you can still see the mirror and join in the atmosphere.

If you can't go check out the video on this link.
