Hello from my desk today. Just a quick hello today I have been to the art store this week and
stocked up on some new sketchbooks to work on for 2015 ideas. I think everyone has that
certain thing they just keep buying and for me it's sketchbooks and notebooks. Here are some
random sketchbook peaks going on working on new project ideas.
Today is the day to drink hot chocolate and eat cookies and just paint and paint not leave your desk.
A great way to spend a very dark cold December day.
Keep warm and cosy and have a great weekend. X X

Hello from my desk this week. I haven't written a from my desk post for awhile as I have been busy getting projects finished before the school holidays start. I am having one final push of work for the next two weeks and then it's time to relax and enjoy the holidays with my little family in London.
I have been looking ahead to 2015 and I had decided to take a break from courses and really get more focused and get down to promoting my designs. I did decided to take part in Bootcamp again at Lilla Rogers School. I think it's a course that really enhances your work, stretches you and compliments the current work you are working on. You just meet the most wonderful creative and supportive people from all over the world. I think I have really grown from taking part in Boot Camp this year.
Have you listened to Lilla's videos When making art your business yet? They will certainly getting you inspired to get going in 2015.
Happy Happy Happy is an experiment I tried just writing the one word 20 different ways. You will have to listen to Lilla's videos to find out why I tired out this little exercise.
So you will be seeing more posts about my journey on Boot Camp 2 I hope you will follow me along
this journey too.
Have a good weekend.

Hello from my desk this week. I have been making lots and lots of pattern this week. Things are getting really busy here getting designs ready for all the textile and surface patterns shows start next year. I working to get everything done before the Christmas Holidays. It has been nice working with Spring Summer 2016 colours while looking outside at that classic cold grey London sky that happens this time of year.
Apart for springy patterns I finally posted my first design on Spoonflower. I have been wanting to have a Spoonflower shop for a long time. (Talked about it a few times here on my blog .) At last I have started and I decided to have a go at one of there competitions Kitten in Mittens.
he competitions are a great way to build up your portfolio as they come up with some really good themes.
Keep warm put your mittens on and have a good weekend XX

Sara for telling me) It was a really nice surprise. I was feeling a little unsure when I posted them in the gallery. As I still feel in a transitional phase with my work at the moment as I get more involved with painting. Painting has become a bit of a new addiction for me. Working at a slower pace feels good instead of the quick cut and paste paper collages I have been doing for a while now. I am enjoying experimenting using more textures and adding more detail to my work now.
I didn't make it any further in the competition but feel pretty good getting shortlisted make you feel your on the right track somehow.
Happy to see some Boot campers making the runners up list.
Fancy having a go at one of the Tigerprint competitions check out the website here

Hello from my desk this week. This week has been about sharing for me. I was contacted by a graphic student this week asking help breaking into the Surface Pattern industry and was introduced through a fellow Pattern Observer course student. It was a surprise to be asked and I felt huge responsibility dispensing the right advice I hope what I gave was useful I wish this student good luck. I remembered when I left collage any advice other designers where willing to give was so greatly appreciated. Any way this week it sparked the idea to share some useful resources I found this year on my blog.
Books: Business and Life
- Art inc by Lisa Congdon and Meg Mateo Ilasco
- Show your Work: 10 ways to share your creativity and get discovered by Austin Klean
- Mindfullness: A practical guide to peace in a frantic world by Professor Mark Williams Dr Danny Penman
- Buddhist Meditation: Tranquilty,Imagination and Insight by Kamalashila
Courses: Business and improved Pattern design and illustration.
Do you like my illustration above? It will soon be a pattern to buy. I am working behind the scene to finally launch a Spoonflower shop soon another procrastination in my life being check off my list Yay!!

Hello from my desk this week. A short post today. I am busy developing new designs right now working on some new product ideas all with be revealed soon.
I have been taking some time this week to look over the huge body of work I have made this year with all the courses I have been working on. I decided it's time to get some of my work in order before the start of New Year. Here are some patterns I have been redoing and working on and I updated my Moyo directory listing this week.
It's the perfect time of year to do and more updating going on behind the scenes with Susse web stores and my website . I have been procrastinating all year about redoing my site but it's time for a fresh look for 2015.
Check more patterns here on my listing page at the Moyo Directory which is a unique source for surface pattern designers around the world.
Have a good weekend XX

It's a bit different for me so not sure yet but it was good to have a go and try some new ways of working. I think I am still developing with my painting techniques here.

It has taken months to get my little knee back into shape. I am so grateful I can now practise yoga in the morning again YEAH! I can go swimming again YEAH! super happy about that and I have started sewing again YEAH! Dusted down my sewing machine and whipping up a few clothes that I started months ago. A couple of months ago I was just grateful to be able to walk again and go up and down stairs. It is so great to do things that I enjoy again.
Do you have three reasons to feel YEAH! this week?

A little inspiration today from my trip to Paris which was ages ago now. I have been meaning to write this post this week. I am in a clearing up, tidy up lose end kind of week for me so here are few exhibitions I enjoyed. We saw a lot and I mean a lot of things in Paris these exhibitions I found interesting to share with you.
Visit to the Quai Barnly Museum http://www.quaibranly.fr/en/ you won't be disappointed if you love all types of ethnic art from around the globe. It was so well put together . My photo's are bit shaky as everything is shown off on dark backgrounds and low lighting. It really highlights the amazing craftsman ship for all the pieces.
Tiki Pop Exhibition which was also on at the museum but sadly no longer on but you can purchase the book here about this colourful Pop culture from the 50's.
I managed to get lost in the world of fashion designer Dries van Nortan exhibition
Les arts Decoratifs Museum in Paris. A catalogue of all is style and inspirations from his collections that span over his career as a fashion designer. It's still on until the 2nd of November a riot of textiles embroidery and print suitable for any textile lover. Maybe you will find some inspiration here too.
