From my desk (bed) this week- Paper Paint

My desk bed this week.
Hello from my desk bed this week. Yep I have been confined to bed rest this week. It hasn't stopped me from working though. I manage to twist my knee and can't walk. I am trying to remain positive and been working in bed as I let my knee stay still and repair itself.  It's been quite good just working away in sketch books and trying  few things out. I even tried the Patterns Please challenge over at Uppercase. Came up with these pattern making typewriters. Could be the pain killers kicking in I enjoyed making the design. You can still enter the challenge there is time .

I have been working with my paper paint  share more with what I came up with next week.
Have a good weekend. XX

Tooth bag

Bye see you later tooth.

Little tooth bag I made for Rocket's first tooth.

Hello I am back and it's been a strange holiday break.  I don't usually talk about Rocket that much. This is a personal moment just had to share with you. Rocket lost his first tooth. First in first out too. I remember his first tooth cutting through 3 months old at Jarrod's birthday party so we had lots of helpers soothing him. Nearly 6 years ago it gone so quickly. It's such a mile stone as a parent.
I made him a tooth bag so the fairy could find his little tooth and deposit a gold coin in there.
He loves this bag so much he sleeps with it every night now. MMmm I was just wondering if he thinks it will fill up with gold coins every night? That would be good wouldn't it.

Exhibition Sensing Spaces

Hello just popping in to say hello. Easter holidays have started and we had a lovely family day on Saturday and checked out the Sensing Spaces exhibition at the Royal Academy making the most of our city again. The exhibition is now closed. It was  definitely worth the money to to see it and experience the different spaces created by different architects. The impact that each environment made you feel was thought provoking. Rocket had a blast playing with the straws. He  loved the twig maze. He's a huge mine craft fan so he said the maze felt like the game in real life. My photos really focus on the close ups of the space but I loved the mix of the old decor of the exhibition room and the modern architecture pieces.

From my desk this week - Kool 4 Kids.

Hello from my desk this week. No boot camping this month not until next May so I have been trying take away my experiences from the course so far and try and apply it to my work the things I have learnt so far. I have had a busy week starting to create more design for Patternbank studio who have just opened for business.  I had this competition brief sitting on my desk for ages I thought why not give it a try so here are my final design for the Hallmark Creative studio design completion to create some fun designs for kids and paper goods. Here is the brief.
I came up with this crazy Beach party collection. MMmm maybe I need a good break next week. I had a lot of fun designing it and Rocket loved it I guess he's the right customer  to market test it on.
Have a fun Easter break. Things will be quite on t he blog for the next two weeks but will try and pop in now and again. Hoping to post new work on my site and new things on my store in the next few weeks.
Happy Easter and don't eat too much chocolate. ( Ha Ha that me the chocoholic)
